1 - Reflections on Previous I Search Experiences
1. I have done many science reports, multiple reports on Martin Luther King jr., and i did one report on how country music causes suicide.
2.Looking things up and finding thing related to you e topic is my definition of research
3. I have totally failed at presenting the reports, especially the president report we did this year, but i felt that my information was superb. it was a definate learning experience both good and bad.

2- Reflection on Webbing Process -April 7th
1. I think the webbing process did not help me find a topic because I didn’t use any of the information that we did in class. I found a topic at home randomly thinking about it.

3 - Why I Chose This Topic and What I Know About My Topic - April 8
1. Topic: Ancient Egypt
2. Why you chose it: I am interested in learning more about the Egyptians
3. What you already know about your topic: I know that they built pyramids and that they had a Pharaoh. I also know that Egyptians were very smart and used their knowledge to help them build the pyramids.

2. How did they build pyramids? – Materials, techniques, what were they used for?

4. What were women Egyptians expected to do?
5. What was the hierarchy (chart/ table) like?
6. What types of clothing did Egyptians wear?
7. What types of jewelry and clothes were considered “royal” or “pretty”
8. What was an Egyptian slave’s life like?- House, water, clean, dirty, how were they treated?
9. What did people do to serve Pharaoh?

10. If the Egyptians didn’t serve Pharaoh what happened?

5 - Reflections on Pre-Notetaking - 1. I found it very helpful to have the questions written down to look at and use as a guide. I thought that this was a very good idea, and that it worked really well. It definately helped me focus on my topic and have better research ideas.

6 - Search Log (due Thursday, April 10)
1. What have I learned today?-egyptians are easy to research and world bookonline helps alot
2. What problems have I had?- i didn't have any problems today.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?- well i didn't have any
4. What will I do next?- research some more.

7 - Search Log (due Friday, April 11)
1. What have I learned today?- the heirarchy chart/ table for ancient egyptians was very laid back. they let people move up in ranking and marry and divorce. They let Egyptians do anything (even the slaves who were captured in wars.)
2. What problems have I had?- I didn't know that we needed at least 5 sources and one had to be a print source.
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?- find 4 more web-sites about Egyptians and then look up a book on pryamids so i can get all my sources done.
4. What will I do next?- more research, and find a book on pyramids in the library.

You will need at least five sources. One of them has to be a print source. Two have to be database articles. The remaining can be anything that you would like.

8 - Search Log (due Monday, April 14)
1. What have I learned today?- i used a print source today and found that it was very helpful.
2. What problems have I had?- i hardly got any work done because i was looking through books most of the time. (also i was talking a bit :).)
3. How will I overcome the problem(s)?- i will have to do double work (and maybe some over the weekend). so that i can get enough research done. my topic might be too broad. i might need to narrow down my topic a little, or at least just pick out the important information.
4. What will I do next?- i am going to contiune to do more research.
